Side project - Making a Cup/Mug

 For some practice for the next part of my reverse engineering project I decided to take the little break that we had in class to make a mug. Some of the commands that we learned that day for example the Shell command I did not understand it enough to get it work. One command I thought I would struggle a lot with was the Sweep 1 and Sweep 2 commands. Found out they were pretty easy to use just gotta make sure your shape is facing the right way. To make the thickness of my cups I used Offset Srf command. It was great practice before rebuilding my kid toys binoculars.

I hope if I 3D print these that they would print out smoothly. I defiantly would question my 2 cup in 1 mug. Great practice. I mainly took my sketch ideas and drew half of the cup and used the fillet command to the corners then revolved it into a cup.

BLOG POST: MILESTONE PROJECTS]

 My final blog post will be about MY growth.  My growth from never using Rhino 7, to taking 12 ish classes of using Rhino 7, to the multiple days and weeks spent out side of class hours playing and learning with Rhino 7. I do regret one thing and that is writing my hours of how much time I spent. From the Time I spent fighting Rhino. The time enjoying being on rhino. To the times it has crashed on me. Amount of time the Mac death wheel popped up. Sad moments of Rhino crashing. SURFACE DESIGN

 My starting point to making a surface design was to find surfaces in the real world. Instead of going to some places I used some old photos. I all so used old knowledge and found some on the internet. As I was trying to think of surfaces I all so thought why not think about my major which is glass blowing, and how pattern and surface can be used in that art medium.  First what is a surface design. It is were there is a surface of some kind and is made to look a pleasing to catch views eyes. Sometimes surface design has a function other than to look ornamental.  Having surface design needs some type of pattern for example like a colour that has repetition. Shapes or lines that are symmetrical all so add to the surface deign since they are repeating.
