SURFACE DESIGN STUDY: LASER CUT SAMPLE]

Biggest take away from my last surface design blog is I had a massive panic attack when it came to laser cutting. I am new to this program and to add a expensive machine I should really take the note of less is more and the last min barfed out idea of this

Less than 10 hours before my booking. Spent all afternoon, evening and night to try and clean up my other surfaces that I was supposed to print.
Went to show the Rhino 7 layout for the one I did laser cut and I have no idea where the file went but I at least have the cut out to show.

Once I have more confidence that I am not going to break the fancy machine I would love to laser cut this

I am really happy with the one I printed because it showed me what the grey scale looks like with it all burnt on the wood. I definitely questioned my should of, could of, would of, other laser print ideas. I love how the one I printed turned out. So much texture, so much burntness. You can see the differences in texture and depth with the grey scale. I do dislike how the one layer to the black that was slightly less black got so burnt next to the crispy layer and the crispy cut out bits. I think my stress and anxiety turned out really well and I love the results.

Little speedy video of the laser printer doing what it does.
